I ran into exactly this when building Debian templates for my home lab. What helped me understand it: on Debian-based guests the DHCP client usually identifies itself with the machine ID from /etc/machine-id rather than the MAC address, so every...
Manuel already noted this is outside what PVE supports. I'd go a step further: I can't recommend doing either of these in production.
It's worth being clear about what WSFC actually needs from that disk. It isn't so much the block device as...
The most likely culprit is that the NAS response is somehow delayed. Local ZFS should be pretty fast. You could try to temporary disable the NAS storage to see if that returns the GUI response time to normal:
pvesm set <storage> --disable...

I'd make sure you would have good QoS if you don't have dedicated links for Corosync, eveything else seems fine at first glance.
Did you plan on running ZFS replication?
there's your problem.
Host exposes the full set of cpu flags to the guest, which means all mitigations applicable to your cpu will apply. in a virtualized environment, mitigations will destroy guest performance- Windows most of all...

Adding to fireons comment I would like to add this: At my place of work I spent the last three weeks creating new vm templates (although we are running vmware but cloud-init isn't that different there). Since I needed to fullfill some special...

I’ve not tried this here but in my experience with other firewalls, if a connection/state is open adding a drop rule will not close it as the allowed open state still exists. IOW end the ping then enable the rule.
Hi Ubu,
Thanks for the fast reply. What gdu is returning doesn't make sense. This is what it says for the 'local' drive:
Copying storage.cfg and opening the copy had this information for the local drive:
dir: local path /var/lib/vz...
PDM cross-cluster migrations work pretty similar to regular intra-cluster migrations, but there are some differences.
intra-cluster:
- SSH used as control channel, SSH or plain TCP used for data transfer
- live migration of VMs possible, offline...
cat /etc/pve/storage.cfg gives you the location of your pve storages.
(apt install gdu)
gdu -x /path/to/storage shows you the usage of the storage
(gdu is like ncdu, but much faster)
Once the threshold is reached, the host will ask the VMs to return memory to the host. The VMs need to be able to return that memory! That means, a way to communicate with the host via the Ballooning device, and free memory that can be returned...
Because on Linux, usually the machine ID is used to identify against the DHCP server. Windows usually takes the MAC address.
Lookup how you can prepare a Debian based system (which Proxmox VE is) to be a template. You usually need to empty the...
Sorry for the late reply — old thread, I completely missed the notification.
For the record: @Dunuin's suggestion in #2 was the right one, and it does work. My failed test back in 2023 was almost certainly the conntrack issue @SteveITS and @fba...
