With a total of 2GB of RAM, & ~0.6GB actually available, I'm not exactly sure what you intend to "run" on it!
Possibly this was just a POC, but anyway happy Proxmoxing!
It was a typo, I corrected. Thanks for the hint ;) I meant that ext4 is more robust than xfs e.g. in case of a power failure while xfs is said to perform better with databases and similiar workloads. Another difference is, that ext4 can shrink...
Yeah, that's fine as long it is useful inside of the VM
For pure testing it it fine - as there are definitely other rules than for a productive system. I am sure you know the recommendation to pass-through a controller for this, before going...
This might sound strange but see if your 5060 ti has the latest uefi firmware. This made my 5060 TI work fine afterwards. Hopefully that will fix your issue.
Not wanting to be a "Just use XYZ" guy but maybe in case everything else fails you might try to switch to NFS (which the Synology typically offers too).
Fail2Ban fails after upgrading Proxmox 8 to 9
Hi,
After upgrading from Proxmox 8 to 9, I noticed that Fail2Ban was failing to start:
fail2ban-server[615]: ERROR Failed during configuration: Have not found any log file for selinux-ssh jail...
Check Mount Options: Look at /proc/mounts. If using cache=none or forcedirectio, try switching to default caching (cache=standard) to see if the issue stops.
Kernel Logs (dmesg): CIFS kernel drivers usually log page errors. Run "dmesg -T | grep...
Found your script today ...
The script does not list available versions. Only the hard coded version is selectable.
So you have to know the "right" version :(
It would be great if the script would store the choosen config values and read these...
Hi
Do any have a list over the IP-numbers which are in use for enterprise.proxmox.com
Because if I make nslookup on enterprise.proxmox.com I do not get the same as what PMG gets when i run update.
Regards
Henning
So just like my other guide, this is more for my own records so I can come back and refer to it.
I know there are scripts for these things, but I prefer doing them manually so I can learn along the way.
Maybe it can help someone else in the...
Ich setze z.B. gerne Prodesk 600 G6 oder Optiplex 5060 im Microformat ein. Davon i.d.R. mindestens 3 Stück, die ich nicht geclustert betreibe. Die Dinger verfügen dann immer über:
64GB RAM
i3/i5 ab 8Gen.
4TB NVMe
zusätzliche 2.5GBit/s M.2...
Skimming through this thread i realized you never wrote any information about your networking.
Do you use at least 2x 100Gbit MLAG for ceph storage and public network?
If not then your ceph cluster is most likely limited by your networking.
Doesnt affect latency and QD1 heavy workloads.
Running 2x25GB for both public and cluster.
Connectx5 for public optimized for latency Intel XXV710 for cluster
It's not about high load or bandwidth — it's all about how quickly the network can...
For maximum virtual disk placement flexibility, my first choice would typically be for PVE to handle the storage, especially with ZFS and Ceph being fully supported.
A little home lab history: previously, I was running Hyper-V. I had some very...
Thought I had a driver issue as pve9 keeps dropping the alternative name of the nic and vm's will not ping anything outside the host. I Just put in a new NIC (same model) and the alternative name came back but it still cannot ping outside the...
