Datastore.AllocateTemplate covers allocating and uploading templates and ISO images, while deleting volumes falls under Datastore.Allocate (which also covers creating, removing and modifying the storage itself). So it's working as intended rather...
By “external,” I meant not managed by PVE. You can still run dnsmasq yourself, and it should work fine. Expanding dhcp support beyond simple zones is on the roadmap and we're working on it.
1) Yes, dhcp only works with simple zones; evpn/vxlan guests need static ips or external dhcp, and you must handle the guest mtu yourself.
2) Yes, PVE allocates and reserves the ip when the nic is added, not when the guest requests a dhcp lease...
Hi where would i do that?
@Impact swapon command does not give me an ouput. Unfortunately I already deleted the VM that had the issues. But the Windows 10 VM also has issues where it locks up for short periods. I knew that link but it's little...
@IsThisThingOn that commit is the merge of the PR @uzumo linked back in #21. It went in yesterday, 20 August, committed by Behlendorf, closing both the PR and an issue that had been open since 2020.
To answer the question directly: no, dedup...
Hi,
feature requests are best filed over at our bug tracker: https://bugzilla.proxmox.com/ :)
With Port Channel I assume bonding multiple network interfaces? For that, please see #2164 in our bug tracker. You can subscribe to it to get updates...
I'm not sure if this is a bug or a "works as intended" that I don't quite understand, but I'm confused by the permissions required to remove an uploaded disk image. As near as I can tell (both from the API viewer and from the error messages I'm...
Thanks for working on this tizbac.
Given its alpha state, and your (quite sensible) disclaimer that anything could go horribly wrong, including the loss of source data, I'll refrain from running this on any "real" machines...
Are you aware of...

I've got a homelab here with two servers. One server takes only 2.5" drives, and the other takes 3.5" (+2.5" with an adapter) drives. Of course, the one with the 2.5" drives is my main server with all my vms on it, which makes it very cost...
@Falk R. @fiona Vielen Dank! Das hat es gelöst :)
Keine Ahnung wie es zustande gekommen ist... Laut Kunde wurde immer nur über die GUI erweitert, da sollte das ja nicht auftreten?
Falls andere darauf stoßen, so haben wir es gemacht:

SSD as DB/WAL for SSD may not give expected performance. What was Ceph slow performance at the beginning ( not disk itself )?
As of small/lab Ceph cluster I do not see much lose of using EC vs replica.
Hi,
there is an critical security issue on ceph
https://notcve.org/cve/CVE-2025-30156
I assume you are working on new packages. Can you estimate when they'll be ready?
Best regards
Udo
Hello,
I have an older system running PVE:
AMD FX8350

48GB PC3-12800 DDR3 RAM
"Random" assortment of SATA, SATA SSD, and NVME drives (I also have my NAS here as a VM with BtrFS RAID 10)
The 8350 is old and runs quite hot...
