Testing this on PVE 9.1.4 right now, and there's still no ability to add an Alias when you add a Domain to ACME in the Web UI. But you can add it through the command line.
If you've already added an ACME domain, find out what number it's using...
That is true. ReiserFS is a cautionary tale.
That isnt. bcachefs is dkms loaded, and you can use it pretty much on any Linux system. you dont actually need to use a plugin for pve either, it functions normally as a filestore.
Hi @jan24, welcome to the forum.
Today, a PVE cluster relies extensively on cross-node SSH communication via root account. While it primarily uses key-based authentication, password authentication is required in some situations, particularly...
I'm trying to shutdown a cluster for electrical utility work. After this work will be finished, I'd like the cluster to come up again to the normal (HA) state with minimal admin work. (Read: someone powers this on and all starts working again)...

It's a Realtek card, and I set the PBS storage in PVE to use a hostname. DNS server also lives on the same PVE hardware. I'm turning offloading off and re-running the backup. I'll report back. Thanks for the help.
Hi @linuxxx3250 , welcome to the forum.
Have you checked the journalctl and dmesg on the PVE host at the time of errors?
In my experience not all NFS servers are created equal. Some struggle with directory listings when a lot of files are...

We started using Proxmox today and have a cluster with 5 nodes.
The Proxmox WebUI is only accessible via VPN. The nodes are only accessible via the VPN using internal IP addresses. Only the VMs on the nodes are assigned public IP addresses...
A raw block device like a physical harddisk (in itself, without a filesystem with -for example- a .qcow file, or LVM-thin) can never have native snapshots. Where should the differential data go???
The current table has some remarks...
This. The linux kernel community isnt an exclusive arbiter of what makes "Good" software, and as dkms exists that isnt a reason TO and NOT TO use anything.
The reason to avoid bcachefs has nothing to do with internal Linux Kernel politics, its...
I think it’s extremely risky that he alone—rather than the organization as a whole—is the one motivated to keep the software updated.
It’s far too dangerous to run the risk of losing access to our data if he is no longer able to update it and...
Are you really talking about live-migration? That would be when you move a running VM from one node in a cluster to another node.
Or are you importing a VM from another virtualization solution to Proxmox VE? Possibly from VMware with the import...
Changing a kernel parameter resolved my issue, this is on some 15+ year old hardware.
Hardware: AMD SB700/SB800/SB900 AHCI (1002:4391)
Old kernel: 6.8.12-30-pve - hot-plug remove/insert works
New kernel: 7.0.14-4-pve - hot-plug removal and...
