As long as you have a L3 connection between your pbs and dedicatedserver it should work. You could portforward the source ip of the dedicted server to your pbs, or could use tailscale or a similar solution. The first way is probably faster, the...
@shanreich was finally able to reproduce the issue. When the physical NIC does not support the

features, the issue can happen. When the physical NIC does support...
I gave up on all the software-defined storage layers.
Went back to direct-2-nvme, and good old solid backup schedules. I employ hardware-raid1 and 10 where data-uptime criticality applies.
I tend to carry this ethos across to both production...
Botton line: use whatever fits you.
I am using GlusterFS, Ceph, Drbd + Pacemaker + iSCSI + OCFS2, and guest what?
Works for me in N scenario.
And again: use whatever fits you and your customers...
See here, here, here, and here.
The citations above begs to differ.
I never said it was unstable.
So?
What's the "so what?" of it being only maintained by quote "a handful of people"?
(Again, if it's stable, why does this matter? You haven't...
Actually fixed this. There was a previous clone that was either stoped mid-clone or it finished and it was deleted. It was locked via the UI, and sort of in a strange state.
I unlocked it on the CLI as I knew it was not being used and could be...
Please see the attached file for virtio output. I also ran my end to end tests; even with the patch it's still broken.
Additionally see the output below:
root@pve1:~# qm showcmd 101 --pretty | grep net

You did not give many details about your system. By far too few.
So you get only a very sparse reply: check your NIC names and verify the network settings.

Ironically I'm having this same issue after we did a graceful shutdown of the entire cluster and a startup the other week. I'm trying to clean up some infra that is no longer being used.
Everything is online and running post maint, ceph seems...
Two things:
1) As I mentioned, I'm running Proxmox 7.4-20 on the host system because kernel 6.8 that ships with Proxmox 8 by default doesn't work with the aforementioned 9361-8i.
Who cares if it's old, if it works (vs. it not working)?
If it is...
Sure. I am mostly on "Debian Stable" for a reason.
Obviously you have your reasons and you know a lot of details, including the background. I am absolutely fine to let you choose your way to go, even when I would never go that route :-)
Hello,
we are seeing a number of MCE/RAS events on several Proxmox VE 9.2 hosts after upgrading from the 6.17 kernel series to the new 7.0 kernel series and would like to know whether others are observing something similar.
Hetzner dedicated...

And ... it's dead. I found I couldn't log into the PBS. And it wasn't doing anything. It was just sitting there. Damn. Must be kernel 7. Let's pin it back to kernel 6.17. Rebooted. Selected kernel in grub. GUI won't come up. Go back to...
