After spending the better part of three days with Gemini learning how to compile a Linux kernel and working through some errors and differences between Proxmox and standard Linux kernels, I got this to work. The second SATA controller has...
Hi everyone,
I'm testing Proxmox RBAC with pools + groups so that VPN users can create and manage their own VMs inside a specific project pool only.
As part of this, I'm building a framework called "Zelogx MSL Setup" (Multiverse Secure Lab...
I fixed it, was a bit of a mission to enable VT-d.
Had to do a HP Bios Replicated Setup download of the BIOS configuration. In that configuration I found a
VT-d enabled
*disabled
endabled
and changed it to
VT-d enabled

I'll second that.
It would be great to have a list of the relevant changes (for passthrough etc.) in case of rebuild after host hardware failure.
Every one of my Proxmox nodes have different changes made over time, and they are not really...
Hey @bl1mp ,
thanks for the hints. I had a look at the pvereport utility, but it does not really macht the requirements (in a broader sense; helpful itself for sure).
I also found some other reporting tools / scripts online, but all of them...
Hi @micahel jiang ,
You are confused about storage location, shared properties and reporting. What you have :
- 11TB disk mounted to host1, this disk is not shared even if it is external.

What SATA controller / HBA are you using.?
I had to disable the Rombar (and upgrade the firmware) for the my controller to boot TrueNAS after upgrade from kernel 6.8.14
Nice! Thank you as well! :)
It should be usable for any PCI card, with reservation for additional tweaking where necessary. :)
I've updated the post to be a bit more informative as I really like easy-to-understand guides on how to do things...
a 6.17.4-2 kernel is now also available on pve-test and pbs-test - it is identical to the last test kernel mentioned above by chris, except for the changelog and kernel name (-test vs regular build). if you are already on the 6.17.4-test-2 kernel...
Today I upgraded the kernel to 6.17.4-1 from 6.17.2-2, and after rebooting, my server didn't turn on. Checking the logs it seemed that because of my media disk (rows sstarting with ata5)
When I went...
Getting between 100-250MB/s between two CTs which seems much better. Any tweaks I should look into or is it a bit of a lost cause?
I'll take a look at the docs but I'm also not in need of this type of throughput. I'm just looking to get the...
