While I can send Snapshots to freenas, I am not able to receive them back.

zfs send on freenas is running up to 100% an stops forever.
If I stop the send on freenas, the zfs recv process on proxmox ve stuck and I can´t kill it at all.
The receviced Dataset or ZVOL remains busy until reboot.

So the fact that a Process is stuck on PVE is the Reason I put it here!

So sending a snapshot courages you to feel safe with your Backup.
But in that case you only can get back of your Stuff connecting the hdd to your PVE System.

Alternatively you can share your FreeNAS with iSCSI or NFS to get your Data back!

I filed a bug as well

Personally, when I migrated my Proxmox to ZFS I used Proxmox+ZFS as my snapshot repository. Not as glamorous as GUI driven dedicated NAS, but licenses are cheap and compatibility is priceless.
