Hello. I'm new to proxmox migrating from XCP-NG and so far loving the experience.

I came to create a cluster today and something odd happened which I don't understand ....

My proxmox UI is on 192.168.11.247/24 port 8006

I created another server network 192.168.5.247/24 (for server to server)

I created the cluster successfully, but when I come to join the host is unreachable.
When I look at the join info it is wrong. But why?

Cluster is configured as follows :

1679843572529.png

In my network settings I have :

1679843420726.png

What am I missing / failing to understand here?

I took a different direction and searched how to change the IP ....

looking at:
  1. /etc/network/interfaces
  2. /etc/hosts
  3. /etc/pve/corosync.conf
I discovered that the hosts file had the erroneous IP. I can only imagine this was issued by the DHCP when it first installed.
Cluster now setup and working.
