Hi all,

We are trying to install Windows Server Standard 2012, from MS action pack, in Proxmox 2.2-26/c1614c8c.

But we get "A media driver your computer need is missing."...

For some reason it will not find the drivers for the disk. We tested IDE, SATA, SCSI, VirtIO (with Fedora drivers from mounted DVD img), still windows installation will not find a suitable disk for installation.

This installation procedure works with Windows Server 2008r2 64bit, using both IDE / VirtIO drivers on same Proxmox machine.

Any suggestions would be much appreciated.

Thanks,
Johan

Yes, it seems it could be conversion from IMG format provided by MS action pack to ISO format accepted by proxmox that messed up something.

Tested with trial image provided by MS Technet, worked fine.

If anyone else has tested with actual converted Action Pack images I would be interested in hearing if you succeeded or failed. To confirm if it was a conversion/image problem or if there actually is a problem with the Action Pack build.
