Windows clients get the error: the connection with the server was reset

I have proxmox set up and running well with KVM. However, in my Windows 7 and Server 2008 R2 machines, I can load websites fine in IE. But when I attempt to download files with IE, I get the error "the connection with the server was reset" on every file I attempt to download. Does anyone know why this is happening?

never seen. as always, pls provide information about your host (pveversion -v) and your guest (cat /etc/qemu-server/VMID.conf)

I had similar bizarre problems with Win2003-64 bit and virtio nic drivers. Try to install and use latest e1000 from intel site and let us know.
