I going to purchase some copies of windows over the next couple of days, and run them as VMS Wondering if i should make the jump to Windows 8 or stick with the more tried and true Windows 7. I plan to try and use virtio hardisk, network interfaces. Have been reading around the forums here, and it seems windows 7 needs boot time drives for hardisks, and additional drivers for networking etc.

Does Windows 8 support virtio out of the box, and which is more stable and reliable as a KVM windows 7 or 8?

PS should i start a poll?

win7 is very stable, for win8 nobody knows as there are no long term experiences (win8 32-bit does not work on KVM). I would go for win7.
