Hello, I have the latest ver of proxmox and am having issue with windows 7.

I create the machine, boot up and install from .iso image, it completes setup, and then on reboot or boot, stops at the initial boot-up screen, like it can't find the hard-drive. Any help on this. I have tested with both 32 and 64 ultimate.

does it boot up correctly if you stop and start the VM?

pls post the complete output of pveversion -v, e.g.:

Code:
prox1:~# pveversion -v
pve-manager: 1.6-5 (pve-manager/1.6/5261)
running kernel: 2.6.32-4-pve
proxmox-ve-2.6.32: 1.6-24
pve-kernel-2.6.32-4-pve: 2.6.32-24
qemu-server: 1.1-22
pve-firmware: 1.0-9
libpve-storage-perl: 1.0-14
vncterm: 0.9-2
vzctl: 3.0.24-1pve4
vzdump: 1.2-8
vzprocps: 2.0.11-1dso2
vzquota: 3.0.11-1
pve-qemu-kvm: 0.12.5-2
ksm-control-daemon: 1.0-4
prox1:~#

you need to make sure that the running kernel corresponds with the installed kvm userspace tools.

second: do other KVM guest boot?

Yes, I have a number of XP machines and a few Linux machines that are running fine. Not sure if any of them were actually build on this install though if that matters.

Also, not sure if I'm missing something here, but no option for windows 7 while creating VMs either.Selection_223.png

looks ok. not the very latest version but should work. try upgrading to the latest version from pvetest (these packages will be moved to pve next week).

Nope, that didn't do it either. Think I might just back everything up and install using the latest iso. It's a machine that can go down for a few hours without causing issues.
