Hi

I am running PVE 3.1-3. I have now "restored" as windows server 2008 image that was originally created in Virtual Box. I have successfully converted the vhd file to raw format and was able to boot the machine, but I am now unable to assign a static IP as the machine detects another machine with the same IP. However, if the machine get its IP with dhcp, then one is not able to ping or find a duplicate IP on the network. I have also changed the network device from the Intel E1000 tot the Realtek one to see if it resolves the issue, but no lock. I have also changed the MAC address using the Proxmox web GUI, but the problem persists. Can someone help, please?

Thanks

after changing your mac, you need to poweroff and start the VM - a simple reboot does not use the new setting.

Hi Tom

That did the trick. Thanks very much, especially for the quick response.
