I have a zfs mirrored 2x8TB disk and its selected as vm disks, but unfortanely for me, one of the other 2 drives proxmox created also had it, and now i cannot find the VM files so i can move it to the larger disks, i have tried to search for the 20 largest files in the system, but none of them shows up.

If i open the vms (the 2x8TB) it lists 7 disks which is part of vm 101 and 100. but the drive it self is completely empty

There are no files. ZFS uses zvols, which are block devices, to store virtual disks of VMs. If you can build in both pools at the same time you could use the webUI to move the virtual disks between the VM storages. If you can't run both pools at the same time it might be the easiest way to simply create backups of the VMs and store the backups on a NAS or USB HDD and then restore them later to the new pool.
