What is the best way to set up backup settings for Proxmox, not for a virtual machine?

At the moment, I'm only backing up my VMs,
but I want to also back up my Proxmox settings, important files and configurations,
so that if I need to set up a new machine/server, I can restore from this backup. Which method is best at the moment?

I want to add recurring backups, as well as my VM snapshots.
