VMs FS error after backup destination storage is full

Can it be so - NFS backup storage became full and VMs that was in this backup become with RO root partitions ?
 
Hi,
unfortunately this can happen with the current backup mechanism, because when the guest issues a write, data that has not yet been backed-up needs to be moved out of the way first. And when that cannot be done, the guest write fails. Your guest is likely configured to remount the root FS as read-only upon error.

A feature that is currently in development would mitigate this and rather only fail the backup: https://bugzilla.proxmox.com/show_bug.cgi?id=4136
 
Only when your backup storage cannot be written to (which shouldn't usually happen).
