Hi Team,

I have a cluster of 3 proxmox 2.1. I have dual nics on all 3 boxes and all a 1GB and they been aggregated. The storage is an iscsi ds412+ again dual nic with agregation on.

The problem is if I reboot box 1 from the cluster, when in comes back on the vms do not boot back up automatically(which have been set for auto boot)

Its a mix of windows and linuxs boxes.

If i try to boot any of the vm straight away, i get a missing quorum error but after a few mins it all back to mornal and i can boot the vms.

This happens on what ever physical box i reboot, keeping the other 2 up in the quorum.

Can someone advise what could be the issue.

Secondly, would there be an issue to upgrade to 2.2 as these 3 boxes are production boxes.

Cheers,

Raj

Another interesting issue with the box that was rebooted this morning is that, it can not see any nfs shares where the backups go or i keep the iso.

From the 3 box i get the following errors now:

Nov 27 16:32:00 slave02 pvedaemon[3385]: WARNING: storage 'ISO' is not online
Nov 27 16:32:00 slave02 pvedaemon[3385]: WARNING: storage 'Backup' is not online

Nov 27 16:32:06 slave02 pvestatd[1817]: WARNING: storage 'Backup' is not online
The first the second box see those nfs shares.

By the way sorry for double post there.

Cheers,

Raj

Ok the only way to rectify the issue where the 3 box will not see the backup nfs share was to reboot the whole cluster.

I have also updated and upgraded to the latest version from 2.1 to 2.2:

here is the pveversion -v

Sorry for the very long posts but now this afternoon I got the errors from box 2 and 3 fro the backups:
"storage 'Backup' is not online"

I will reboot the whole cluster later on to see if that makes any difference.

Cheers,

Raj

Looks your DNS server runs into a timeout?

Nov 28 09:30:43 slave02 ntpd_intres[1624]: DNS 0.debian.pool.ntp.org -> 94.237.64.20

Why does that lookup take 30 seconds? Please check your DNS settings.
