I use proxmox in a homelab setting and have been running into storage issues on a few nodes with small SSDs. I wanted to upgrade the storage. My plan was to:
1. Migrate the VMs to other nodes.
2. Remove the node, whose storage I'm upgrading.
3. Upgrade the storage and re-install proxmox.
4. Rejoin the cluster.
5. Migrate the VMs back.
Is there an easier method to this? I did search the board and documentation for migrating VMs, when they were instantiated as "linked clones" on LVM thinpools. I can't even actually identify anything that indicates they are in fact linked clones (but do recall I configured them that way, given I was tight on storage space).
