Virtio drivers for XP SP3 x86

Hi,

I'm running the latest pve 2.3 with a varied selection of Windows Server 2003 / Windows XP SP3 vm's under KVM but since mistakenly updating one of the Win XP machines to the latest RHEL stable virtio drivers (virtio-win-0.1-52.iso) it now BSOD's on boot. Can anyone suggest a release of the virtio drivers that does not cause problems and is stable. Most of the vm's are running older virtio drivers - Windows Server 2003 are using:

Thanks in advance for any help with this issue. I have even tried creating a completely new Windows XP SP3 vm but the latest stable drivers (virtio-win-0.1-52.iso) just don't seem to work.

Thanks for the help. I tried virtio-win-0.1-49.iso using qcow2 rather than raw files and all was ok for a while but then the BSOD again when applying the 125 windows XP patches required. I noticed that the vm's I have had no issues with are using raw files, is there some problem with qcow2. I was using qcow2 because of its support of snapshots.

I am not aware of any issue with qcow2, its the default.

but make sure you really use the right driver inside windows.

Just some feedback on my problem. In the end I gave up on XP SP3 x86 and used Windows Server 2003 R2 x86 instead as XP just wasn't stable with the Virtio drivers.
I used virtio-win-0.1-52.iso (latest RH stable) and installed the Virtio drivers for network, storage and the baloon driver from the \WNET\X86 folder.
Has been stable since with no problems over the last week with the vm's running 24/7.
