VirtIO driver not found when installing Windows 2008 R2

I'm having trouble installing a Windows Server 2008 R2 64 bit guest to a Virtio disk.
I have downloaded the virtio-win-0.1-30.iso from fedora site (http://alt.fedoraproject.org/pub/alt/virtio-win/latest/images/bin/) and add the iso as a cd-rom to Win2008r2 vm, and when Win asks for drivers, point it to Wlh direcotry of the cd/iso.

The VirtIO disk has been loaded, and it's finding some drivers (if I uncheck the hide option, I see far more), but I cannot get past this dumb screen.

works here. check your ISO download, maybe corrupted?

you need to use the driver from the "WIN7" directory.

I've tried win7 driver with the same result.

Here is my md5 checksum

md5sum looks ok. must be something elso on your side.

post your VMID.conf from this guest.

what physical hardware do you run?

Solved. An installation image was broken after copying over http using proxmox web interface.

Which installation image u find was broken?
Windows Server 2008 r2 or VirtIO Driver?

I'm not sure you can use virtio driver at windows installation, because fedora virtio-win are not signed. (or you need to use virtio-win from redhat).

You can install windows with ide, then add a secondary temp disk on virtio, install the drivers, then switch first disk to virtio.
(Just check the proxmox wiki)

the fedora drivers are signed by redhat and works without problems on win2008r2, also during installation.
