I installed server 2008 r2 with VirtIO as the HDD. The vm is sitting on an ssd BUT the max throughpout on the ssd is ONLY 450-500Mbps. The numbers on this test are very high, 1GBps which is crazy high. What's with the amazing numbers? Does VirtIO do some kind of RAM caching on the host?

Hi,
I guess caching on the host. Can you post the VM-config ("cat /etc/pve/qemu-server/VMID.conf")? and info about the storage ("mount; cat /etc/pve/storage.cfg" if on a filesystem, which mount-options and so on)?
