veird problem and kernel panic after uping to 1.9

Re: weird problem and kernel panic after uping to 1.9

hmmmmmmmmm, seems i've found the root of the problem! its iptables. if i run iptables on the proxmox host i get a crash after some random time!

It would be great if you find a way to reproduce the problem - we can the debug that here.

my supermicro servers X7DVL with 8 xeon hangs after 1.9 upgrade and reboot with 2.6.32-6-pve kernel
( other servers are working fine )

hangs occurs just after the grub screen
and display "251 system cmos error checksum bad" even if I save it correctly

I have tried several bios configuration ( with or without virtualization , pata or not , acpi or not and so on ) and so on but without success
going back to 2.4 displays the same checksum error

what could be the fastest way to go back to previous 2.6.32 kernel ?

you should have the old kernel still installed, just select the old one on the boot loader (grub), using the arrow keys.

if it boots up, pls post the output of 'pveversion -v'

looks like you skipped a lot of updates. but if the old kernel does not boot also it looks like the issue is not kernel related.
