hello all.
simple question and probably simple question.

i created a user - gave him permissions (even tried making them root). while creating the account there isn't an option to set a password. Not a biggie - but isn't that where most other environments do it?

In the end, I am not able to log in with 'no password' and get an error while 'setting' the password for that account ... error changing password - xxxx user does not exist.

what have i missed? the user is a 'pam' and i am trying to log into that 'realm' in that manner.

I think you also need to create a matching "Linux user" (for pam) on the Proxmox host using adduser for example, which asks you to set the password.

EDIT:
I really though I remembered that I needed to do that some years ago. I guess I'm wrong about this, sorry.
