Hi Community,

I attempted the upgrade to version 5 by following the Wiki guide, however it has failed and left me with an unusable setup.

I get the following errors when I try to do any form of upgrades since I did the upgrade:

W: An error occurred during the signature verification. The repository is not updated and the previous index files will be used. GPG error: http://download.proxmox.com/debian/ceph-luminous stretch InRelease: The following signatures couldn't be verified because the public key is not available: NO_PUBKEY 0D9A1950E2EF0603
W: The repository 'https://enterprise.proxmox.com/debian stretch Release' does not have a Release file.
N: Data from such a repository can't be authenticated and is therefore potentially dangerous to use.
N: See apt-secure(8) manpage for repository creation and user configuration details.
W: Failed to fetch http://download.proxmox.com/debian/ceph-luminous/dists/stretch/InRelease The following signatures couldn't be verified because the public key is not available: NO_PUBKEY 0D9A1950E2EF0603
E: Failed to fetch https://enterprise.proxmox.com/debian/dists/stretch/pve-enterprise/binary-amd64/Packages 401 Unauthorized
W: Some index files failed to download. They have been ignored, or old ones used instead.

Is there any help that someone can offer me to at least get back the GUI so I can make a backup of the VM's and migrate them to a new fresh install of Proxmox?

I hope to get some favorable results from the community :)

Cheers,

David.

you use enterprise repo ... do you have a subscription ? I think no ... so you should use:

deb http://download.proxmox.com/debian/pve stretch pvetest

and
cat /etc/apt/sources.list.d/ceph.list
deb http://download.proxmox.com/debian/ceph-luminous stretch main

also you probably removed the PVE packages on upgrading, including proxmox-ve which contains the repository key. you need to manually download and verify the key, then fix your repository lists, then "apt update; apt full-upgrade; apt install proxmox-ve"

Thanks Gerhard an Fabian,

I appreciate the response :)

I ended up building a new Proxmox server from scratch, I took this oppertunity to build it on a better system, which if I look at it positively, the crash might have been for all the right reason :)

Again thank you for taking the time to response.

Cheers,

David.
