Hello all,

I'm trying to upgrade from Proxmox 9.1 running kernel 6.17.4-2 to Proxmox 9.2 running kernel 7.0.14-12; is "apt update" and "apt full-upgrade" enough for this ?
When I run "apt update" , it gives:

Code:
root@server1:~# apt update
Get:1 http://security.debian.org/debian-security trixie-security InRelease [43.4 kB]
Get:2 http://security.debian.org/debian-security trixie-security/main amd64 Packages [245 kB]

Get:4 http://security.debian.org/debian-security trixie-security/main Translation-en [150 kB]

214 packages can be upgraded. Run 'apt list --upgradable' to see them.
Notice: Repository 'http://deb.debian.org/debian trixie InRelease' changed its 'Version' value from '13.3' to '13.6'

It seems ok but when I run 'apt list --upgradable' :

As you see, kernel "7.0.14-12" is not listed and only kernel is proxmox-kernel-6.17/stable 6.17.13-21.

Is this totally normal and if it's the intended behaviour, how can I upgrade to kernel "7.0.14-12" ?

Thank you..

In the apt update output above I'm missing a line referencing Proxmox repositories, although the apt list --upgradable does indeed show upgradable Proxmox packages. Are you sure the Proxmox repositories are correctly configured?

apt only prints a get line for repos which metadata has actually changed since the last apt update run

There should still be a line. For example
Bash:
# apt update
Hit:1 http://security.debian.org/debian-security trixie-security InRelease
Hit:2 http://deb.debian.org/debian trixie InRelease
Hit:3 http://deb.debian.org/debian trixie-updates InRelease
Hit:4 http://download.proxmox.com/debian/pve trixie InRelease
All packages are up to date.

This should bring clarity
Bash:
find /etc/apt/sources.* -type f -exec tail -n+1 {} +
