I tried to upgrade from 7.4-18 to 8
I did the following
apt update
apt dist-upgrade
pveversion
added the VE 8 package repository (I am a subscriber)
echo "deb https://enterprise.proxmox.com/debian/pve bookworm pve-enterprise" > /etc/apt/sources.list.d/pve-enterprise.list
echo "deb https://enterprise.proxmox.com/debian/ceph-quincy bookworm enterprise" > /etc/apt/sources.list.d/ceph.list
Refreshed package index
apt update

Upgrade the system to Debian Bookworm and Proxmox VE 8.0
apt dist-upgrade

nothing happened as far as upgrading went into PVE updates and found a list of items to upgrade and perfromed the upgrade and got the below
results

can someone guide me to upgrading

Hi,

first of, Ceph Octupus/Pacific clusters must be upgraded before upgrading to Proxmox VE 8.
Secondly; I'd suggest you carefully follow our very detailed upgrade guide: https://pve.proxmox.com/wiki/Upgrade_from_7_to_8
This explains step-by-step how to perform such an upgrade.

Anyway, seems like you package repositories are broken. Can you provide the output of tail -n+0 /etc/apt/sources.list /etc/apt/sources.list.d/*?

You have bullseye (PVE 7) and bookworm (PVE 8) repositories active at the same time; that cannot be right (and your PVE 8 repositories are incomplete). Please check your steps against the upgrade guide.
Are you aware that you need an active subscription to use the enterprise repository (switch to the no-subscription repository otherwise)?
