I have a Dell OptiPlex 7090 Tower and uses Proxmox as the only OS on it.
With my other Linux machines (eg. laptop) it has Windows dual boot so that I can always get the latest hardware updates from Dell / Lenovo directly... sad.
Eventhough company like Lenovo is slowly releasing firmware updates for Linux and can achieved via fwupd, it's not always the latest and only a few hardware is supported.

Is there a way to somehow have Windows without dual-booting solution just to perform updates?
Dual-boot proxmox is not an option.
Any link to a tutorial or articles would be much appreciated!

I assume the hardware vendor provides a bootable ISO for firmware upgrades.

In your case, check dell.com support pages.

Why do you say dual booting windows and Proxmox is not an option? Is that not possible to do? I was trying to look into that exact possibility.
