update - upgrade blocks

i have done a update in the gui which blocks.
then i have logged in with teraterm and done a ...

apt update -y
Es wurden 835 kB in 14 s geholt (56.3 kB/s).
E: Der dpkg-Prozess wurde unterbrochen; Sie müssen manuell »dpkg --configure -a« ausführen, um das Problem zu beheben.
root@memoryalpha:~# dpkg --configure -a
mariadb-server-10.0 (10.0.29-0+deb8u1) wird eingerichtet ...

...
then it hängs for houers

Had the same problem with mysql-server on Ubuntu 16.04. Solved it with this: http://askubuntu.com/questions/760724/16-04-upgrade-broke-mysql-server

this is one reason to install on the pve-host importand packages only - mariadb is top for an VM

I agree or make a littel LXC for it.
