Should anyone ask here is my sources.list file

# cat sources.list
deb http://ftp.debian.org/debian buster main contrib
deb http://ftp.debian.org/debian buster-updates main contrib

# PVE pve-no-subscription repository provided by proxmox.com,
# NOT recommended for production use
deb http://download.proxmox.com/debian/pve buster pve-no-subscription

# security updates
deb http://security.debian.org/debian-security buster/updates main contrib

@okieunix1957 did you remove / comment out the enterprise repo definition in /etc/apt/sources.list.d/pve-enterprise.list?

I do not know why this is being pull down as I have intel system not AMD.
amd64 is the name for 64bit architectures (has nothing to do with processor model)

Hey @okie

You are nearly there, you now just need to run:

Bash:
apt-get install docker-ce docker-ce-cli containerd.io

Then

Bash:
apt-cache madison docker-ce

Now install Portainer

Bash:
mkdir /root/portainer/data

And finely

Bash:
docker run -d -p 9000:9000 -v /root/portainer/data:/data -v /var/run/docker.sock:/var/run/docker.sock portainer/portainer

Then visit the host machines http://{ static IP / domain }:9000 and set your username and password

Now we talking!
