Hello,

I have recently downloaded proxmox ve on my laptop but I am trying to revert my laptop back into a windows machine because I am looking to sell it. But ever since I downloaded proxmox and I try to use windows installer and I get to the partition drive screen my nvme is showing up and I cant delete or select any drive that is there. How can I fix this and get windows back?

within Windows installer, you can press "Shift + F10" to open command line to call diskpart utility.
within diskpart, select your disk like command "select disk 0" , then "clean" to wipe partition table.
Then Windows installer can continue.

Just tried that, I only had one disk inside and Im pretty sure I just wiped the USB drive. No other drives are showing up in that part. But If I go into BIOS I can see the NVMe in the bios

I bet on Dell manufacturer which not enable standard storage controller.
The easiest is to set storage controller to standard one / native for Windows, instead special set from Dell.
Search yourself on the net to do it.
To prevent cleaning the wrong disk, "list disk" with command within diskpart.

I have a gigabyte laptop. Its weird though. No matter what I do the NVMe is not showing up. But again I go into my bios and there it is sitting in the storage section.

The way I always used to do it is to either put the GParted ISO or the latest Ubuntu ISO on a USB stick, boot from that USB stick and then open GParted inside that live environment and wipe my disks from there.

OP has problem detecting NVMe within Windows installer because manufacturer enable Intel RST / VMD which turning off standard NVMe or SATA controller.
Like Dell but many manufacturers too, so Intel RST drivers are required,
Link I shared explain this common issue.
