TASK ERROR: unable to parse directory volume name 'mnt/pve/images/105/Metasploitable.qcow2'

The reason I am doing this is for school...my task is not to use Proxmox but I am being stubborn and sticking to it over VMWare.
I cannot get Metasploitable to work following this guide. How-to
Where I differ from that guide is using my 'images' directory instead of 'local'. The reason I am doing this is because 'local' only has 2GB free. It did progress to install using the directory I was given in tutorial but there is not enough space there.
I have tried some variations of the title but I am just getting frustrated please help. :(

file=local:mnt/pve/images/105/Metasploitable.qcow2,size=8G
file=images:105/Metasploitable.qcow2,size=8G

Is there a correct way I can write this line??
