I need to install some MG Gateways in a private 172.16.0.0/12 network. I do not have any control on that numbering plan.
The netmask is 255.240.0.0 but when I try to enter 0 for the third digit, it is always changed by 255. It seems that I can enter anything but not 0 even if the second digit is 255 ! Seems to be a bug.
Is it save to change the /etc/nework/interfaces by hand after the install ?
