I'm starting to prepare for a migration and as part of that process I wanted to dump the VM's & LXC's to a FreeNAS hosted NFS mount.

vzdump 104 –-dumpdir /mnt/nas1 –-mode snapshot
400 Parameter verification failed.
vmid: invalid format - value does not look like a valid VM ID

I can't see an issue with my command from reading the docs

Hoping for a hint

Your command line contains strange hyphen characters - please use:

# vzdump 104 --dumpdir /mnt/nas1 --mode snapshot

Argghhh, damn copy & paste failure... THX!

But now it seems it can't create the copy of the config:

ERROR: Backup of VM 100 failed - unable to open file '/etc/pve/nodes/pve1/lxc/100.conf.tmp.48734' - Permission denied

Hope you got a hint for that too...

Seems this one had to do with quora, as the other two nodes of the cluster were off...

That problem seems to be solved.

But I can't backup LXC straight to NFS, as reported here.
