[SOLVED] Transferring PBS Subscription to other Host

Hello,

here come questions about the PBS subscription.

Scenario:

Originally, we started evaluating PBS v1 on old hardware - ending up in using it for all our backups. We bought a PBS subscription along the way.

Now we bought fresh hardware to make this a proper production service, and we are in the process of setting up PBS v2 fresh on this new hardware. The old server will be replaced eventually.

Questions:

1. Can we just transfer the subscription from one host to the other? Is it as easy as proxmox-backup-manager subscription remove and proxmox-backup-manager subscription set respectively - or will there be checks done online by PBS that might bite us?
2. Would a transition phase be allowed in which the same subscription would be running on both servers? Just to double check in side-by-side comparison that the newly built server is 100% equivalent to the old one, before the latter gets removed.

You can remove the subscription also via GUI.

(And no, you cannot have a single key active on both servers)
