Im struggling with this for weeks now, the IO rate of the proxmox install is terrible slow.
My second harddrive is working fine (LVM). The local hdd seems to be really slow.
When installing a simple VM in KVM (only have KVM) like debian with 5gb space it takes around 15 minutes to format and IO is going nuts and brings the total load of the whole system to around 13, on the other harddrive its done in a second or 2 and doesnt even affect the IO at all.
I even switched both harddrives to brand new ones in hope to fix this problem, but no luck!
Here are some stats:
dd command:
dd if=/dev/zero of=/tmp/test.bin bs=1M count=2000
Master(proxmox install, hdd1): Around 70% average IO Delay
2097152000 bytes (2.1 GB) copied, 328.337 s, 6.4 MB/s
It seems to work fine on LVM. Cant i reformat the local storage from the proxmox install to LVM ?
