Hello,

I just intalled Proxmox 2.1, and I have some problems with installing templates, lots of templates can't even be download, by example if I try the debian 6.0 template, I get this error message :

Code:
starting template download from: http://download.proxmox.com/appliances/system/debian-6.0-standard_6.0-1_i386.tar.gz
target file: /var/lib/vz/template/cache/debian-6.0-standard_6.0-1_i386.tar.gz
--2012-04-29 11:47:09-- http://download.proxmox.com/appliances/system/debian-6.0-standard_6.0-1_i386.tar.gz
Resolving download.proxmox.com... 188.165.151.222
Connecting to download.proxmox.com|188.165.151.222|:80... connected.
HTTP request sent, awaiting response... 404 Not Found
2012-04-29 11:47:09 ERROR 404: Not Found.

TASK ERROR: download failed - Bad file descriptor

It looks like the template index is not updated with the last templates, that cause a 404 error.

And when I download a file manually from the repository like debian-6.0-standard_6.0-4_i386.tar.gz, and upload it with the web interface, I get a 400: Bad Request error at the end of the upload.

What can be the problem ?

Thank you

Hi,
have you tried an
Code:
pveam update
to load the actual template-list?

Udo

Just use the templates from the OpenVZ team, they are kept more current then the Proxmox provided templates. I have also noticed the naming restrictions on 1.x don't seem to apply anymore, I can use the default filename from openvz, and they work.

Here is the URL http://download.openvz.org/template/precreated/
Just do this,

Code:
cd /var/lib/vz/template/cache
wget [URL]http://download.openvz.org/template/precreated/centos-6-x86.tar.gz[/URL]

Hi, having same issue posted here. However, I tried to do the "pveam update" and that did not seem to work for me as it did for user who posted on same issue - see attach. Below are my errors when trying to download OS template from proxmox gui:

starting template download from: http://download.proxmox.com/appliances/system/debian-6.0-standard_6.0-6_i386.tar.gz
target file: /var/lib/vz/template/cache/debian-6.0-standard_6.0-6_i386.tar.gz

Resolving download.proxmox.com... failed: Name or service not known.
wget: unable to resolve host address `download.proxmox.com'

TASK ERROR: download failed - Bad file descriptor

Appreciate any feedback!
