Switching to OVS

This morning I decided to make the jump to ovs. I am at the point of applying my changes, but I wanted to do check a couple of things. After I installed *openvswitch*, I noticed that the openvswitch.service was disabled. I decided to not enable or start the service until I was sure that it would not disrupt my network connection. Looking at that the Proxmox Open vSwitch wiki page, I read the Debian Open vSwitch configuration, which make mention of kernel modules that needed to be installed. Is that true of PVE 6.1 or not?

Everything I have read on other sites says that all I need to do is configure my bridge and intports, save and reboot and everything will be hunky dory, but I thought I would post on the forum that usually has the correct information. Any pointers would be greatly appreciated!

kernel modules are already available, you only need to install openvswitch package (and maybe enable service)
