Hello everyone! I have a Dell R620 with a PERC H310 Mini at a client's site, and when trying to install PVE9 I was unable to list the RAIDs. I tried with 8.1 and had the same problem, and finally with 7 it installed normally.

After that, I updated PVE from 7 to 9 and restarted. After restarting, it wouldn't boot.

From what I've read, the problem is that after Kernel 6.8.12-13-pve, the controller seems to have lost support. I would like to know if anyone using this controller has found any workaround to update it. For now, I've had to use Kernel 5.15.158-2 as the default kernel to avoid leaving the system idle while I find a solution.

I appreciate any advice you can give me.

Hi, @Tacioandrade . Maybe this?

Friends, sorry for the delay in replying! I ended up having several problems.

After a thorough analysis, it turns out that this board no longer supports Proxmox, even with the newest kernels. The options I found were:

* Change the firmware to IT Mode to transform it into an HBA and use ZFS for RAID;
* Install Proxmox 8.0-2 (the version on the website, 8.1, no longer supports the controller) and keep your kernel, which isn't a good long-term option;
* Replace the controller (which is what the client ended up doing, buying a PERC H710 from a used parts supplier and replacing it in the server);

For those who will use it at home, I believe the best option is to change the firmware to IT Mode. It's not easy, but it's not impossible either; it can be done and won't be a huge workaround.
