Not sure what you expect.
You requested a upgrade of your existing service - we offer this free of charge, just to note - and you got all this within one business day - so zero reason to complain.
wasnt complaining. was getting a point across. i forgot it was christmas, not a big deal in my house. so that was my mistake. i simply said i was reaching out to see if i was doing something wrong or had to change anything in the command line for the code to work. buddies comments seemed very passive aggressive to me and i didnt appreciate it. i was reaching out for help and felt i shouldn't be given sarcastic passive aggressive responses in return.
i would assume an upgrade would be free of charge if im buying a subscription - to something i can get for free aside from the "enterprise repository". i'm supporting your company and brand. $300 CAD/year is not something i normally do in these cases, but decided i would do it to ensure the best running program i can get since im new to servers and hypervisors.
im a purchaser IRL. i look for the best deals and the best customer service. through all my research i landed on proxmox being the best product, game my money for a subscription, then was met with rude responses when i didnt know what was happening with my subscription key.
a simple "sit tight, they will be sending out a new key soon" would've been suffice. not, "I mean, it's the holiday seasons 24th to 26th is often off for the whole office here in Austria.
If you got an shop account and paid the upgrade the new key should be listed there already IIRC, but I'm not in the shop team so YMMV, that's why I recommend keeping communications about such stuff at the respective channels."
this is a support forum. give support where its needed. dont be a jerk just because you know more than the person asking the question. thats a very good way to lose a customer.
i made a mistake by not remembering it was christmas break. it was 11 oclock at night and i was wondering why my key wasnt working after i got the upgrade. i was not aware a new key would be needed, i assumed it would just update the current key automatically.
so again, i apologize for the mixup on my end. but that still doesnt make it ok to get passive aggressive and rude comments to my question. especially when im paying for a subscripton on an open source product that i can get a majority of the usage out of the software in the "free" tier.
