Subscription for air gap Proxmox VE server?

Hi,

i it possible to activate and update a valid subscription for Proxmox VE within an air gap environment?

The server node has no connection to the internet and should not have any.

hi,

no. the main purpose of activating a key on your server is to be able to get the enterprise updates (which you can't get on an airgapped server anyway), nothing else. you can still open support tickets with your key.

But how does an customer get rid of the subscription hint when logging in and see his subscription within the web interface without connecting directly to the internet?

For updates the files could be still delivered by an checked offline service.

If you have a not registered subscription on your host, you will get the notification. Most use a secure http proxy to get the updates and the subskription check done. If you have no internet connection, you have limitations.
