after installing proxmox for the first time, and going through the system reboot, Proxmox gets stuck on this screen:

FOUND VOLUME GROUP PVE using metadata type lvm2
3 LOGICAL VOLUME (S) IN VOLUME GROUP "PVE" NOW ACTIVE
/DEV/MAPPER/PVE-ROOT: RECOVERING JOURNAL
/DEV/MAPPER/PVE-ROOT:CLEAN, 53275/6291456 FILES, 1208050/25165824 BLOCKS

I am on newly build computer with an Asus Motherboard.

Hopefully someone will come to the rescue..

thank you

me too, and can't even login via correct user "root"
Has anyone had this issue before?

Hi,

Did you find a solution to this, I’m experiencing this too

Out of interest, did you try installing an earlier version , like 7.4. I’m going to try it, but I need sleep first.

Hello, I am experiencing the same issue mentioned in this thread with my lab server. I left the server on for over 24 hours in case it was conducting a file system check, but to no avail. The HDD LED is not lit. I can ping the server, yet it remains inaccessible via SSH or the web interface.
Any solution for this problem?

Same issue, stuck on following. Unable to ssh in

Found volume group "pbs" using metadata type lvm2
2 logical volume(s) in volume group "pbs" now active

UPDATE:

I shutdown the PBS VM in Synology, edited the config to change the video adapter from vwga(or however it was spelled) to vga and then booted it up again.
Im able to both SSH in and connect via VM manager. The volume group logs still show up and are probably unrelated to why i wasnt able to login

This worked for me. Thanks for the post.
