Hello,

After a fresh installation of Proxmox, we have taken a backup of Proxmox and restore it into new servers. But in Mozilla Firefox, we cannot login Proxmox, because their SSL Certificate are same, but in Chrome it is ok, we can login. We want to prepare an image of Proxmox for future installation with new generated SSL. How can we solve it?

hi,

correct solution would be using valid certificates. [0] you can also change the certificate after the initial installation.

but to be honest, it doesn't take that long to install PVE from ISO, compared to restoring backup to new server. ideally when taking a backup of your PVE you only take the VM/CT configs and network configuration files (you can take the whole /etc directory), along with your VM disks (better if they're on shared storage so you dont need to move those around either).
