Spinning disks reporting as type "unknown"

In Proxmox 8.3.5 all the spinning hdd types are showing as unknown type. SMART info is reporting fine in each case. Can someone help me understand the issue that might cause this. I am concerned that in my setup this pve is one node in a 3 node ceph cluster and I am unsure what affect this might have regarding the functioning of crush rules written to identify drives of a particular type. Any insight is appreciated. Screenshot post below showing the disk GUI output.

I just upgraded my Backplane and HBA to SAS3 and now getting "unknown" as well.
All the SSDs are appearing as type "SSD" but what should be "Hard Disk" is "unknown".
 
An SSD reports itself as SSD, a HDD does NOT report itself as HDD, because there was nothing else than HDD for many decades.

Do you experience problems with this report? It makes no practical difference in running the computer.
