Spice/Virtio with Windows 10

The short question is this: Has anyone been successful in using the Fedora Windows Virtio drivers to build a Win10 VM in Proxmox VE?

I can't get it to work and I'm scratching my head a bit because I've followed all of the HowTo documents and applicable advice given in posts on this forum and I can't get it to work. I've tried long enough where I'm now questioning whether anyone has gotten this to work.

Correct me if I'm mistaken, but I think that the generally agreed upon source for the Virtio drivers (which I believe includes the QXL graphics drivers needed by SPICE), is the Fedora Project.

<<NEW USERS CAN'T POST URLs.....fedoraproject.org/wiki/Windows_Virtio_Drivers>>
(Specifically, I'm looking at the "Direct Downloads" section on this page)

I first downloaded the "Stable virtio-win iso" package. I inspected the ISO file and noticed that there are no drivers newer than Windows7 included in the package.

I then downloaded the "Latest virtio-win iso" package. Upon inspection, it is clear that they do include Win10 drivers. I thought I was good to go.

I then proceeded to create a new Win10 VM in Proxmox, adding a 2nd CD-ROM drive and pointing it to the Fedora Project's Windows Virtio Drivers ISO file. (I also selected the graphics card, network card, and storage controllers to use the Virtio drivers)

When I get to the point in the Win10 installation where you choose "custom installation" and then "load drivers" button, I select "Browse" and select the VIrtio ISO as the source. It scans all of the subfolders in the Virtio ISO file and comes back with an error message that there are NO DRIVERS found in the entire set of files. I tried browsing to specific sub-folders. No luck.

I admittedly didn't try the Win7 drivers.....which now that I took the time to write this up seems like a mistake on my part. I should have done that. I was just reluctant to using such old drivers. After all Win10 is 2 versions later than Win7.

Thanks in advance for sharing any of your experiences with this.
