Spice over Internet

Hi!

How do I connect to my VM desktop via SPICE over the internet? I'm using ssh forwarding to connect to the browser novnc console. But I'm hoping for better performance with SPICE.

Also, for a gentoo vm I had to select the virtio gpu instead of the spice option. How can enable spice for a gentoo vm with still having a working console?

Just open PVE over the internet (direct or SSH-forwarding) and use the SPICE console. Then a file is downloaded that you can open in your SPICE client on your desktop. If you do SSH-forwarding, you may have a look at the file if the hostname and port is still correct.
