Some guidance on storage

I have a server with the following:

H700 Controller and BBU in writeback (512MB) version
8 x SAS HGST Enterprise 10k drives in RAID 10

will it help performance if I follow this guide and add 2 SSDs into the mix for LVM Caching.

Thoughts? or is it not necessary as the hardware raid has BBU?

Note dont want to use ZFS due to using a dell server with hw raid.

You have BBU, with writeback enabled and an raid 10 with SAS drives? From the hardware itself it must perform very good.

What is exactly your problem? I don't see any need of SSDs here.
