we plan on some new Virtual Infrastructure for mixed use VM's.
After seeing the pinned Benchmarks of all flash solutions, i would love to have some recommendation what i could do, or should not do.
May Plan so far was for 3 Nodes and ceph RF-2 Mirroring of Blocks, eg any node has all the Data (i know putting a 4th node would change that) Nodes have 4x 10gbit so we could use 1 or 2 for ceph.
I wanted 20 7.200RPM sas drives per system and 4 SSD OSD Journals, would love to have compression with bluestore.
I figured considering OSD Process ram usage, it would be surely used for caching a bit ?
So my calc was writes go to journal ssd and get like amplified to 3 times, while reads would stay in the system. The read/write quota should be 70/30
Can i expect to get something like 3000 IOPS (all Systems combined, 4k blocksize) or am i totally off ?
