Should one upgrade one's Windows VM's to the latest version of virtio?

I just wanted to make sure others have not encountered any issues. My setup is stable and I would like to keep it that way

I believe the old rule applies: "If it ain't broke - why fix it?"

According to the Proxmox wiki:

As of 2026-09-10, we are currently testing virtio-win 0.1.302. We are not aware of issues with this version, but since this version is relatively new, we cannot recommend it yet for production environments.

I installed 0.1.302 on my non-critical cluster earlier today. so far no issues, but it hasn't been long enough to make a decision one way or the other yet. if i run into any issues, i'll update here.

Install it on one instance and monitor it for a week. No issues = back everything up and upgrade
