server 500 errors

Lots of the web interface has stopped working on our proxmox install. Noticed it yesterday when I tried to create a new VM... something I really need to do. I get a timeout 500 error. Here are the bits that don't work

Create (under the vms section)
ISO Images
Storage
Backup

Is this something to do with accessing storage? The server has local storage, the VM disks are in LVM. The backup is over NFS, that server's up and running.

this sounds that one of your defined storage working correctly.
See in /etc/pve/storage.cfg

Thanks. As I was typing the question I was thinking about storage but it all seemed to be ok. Turns out the NFS service had failed on the machine we use for backups. Rebooted that and all is good.

just a question

if you have iptables installed and enabled on proxmox - you might find that your kernel 2.6.32-4-pve does have iptables support.
that is my problem
