Hi,

I try really hardy to virtualize a SCO OpenServer 5.0.7 on ProxMox, but without complete success.
I've created a vritual machine with an SCSI disk. I've passed the installation process (with slha BTLD), but when i try to boot the VM it says "No bootable device".
I manage to do this on VMWare esxi, but I really want to do thix on ProxMox, so if anyone has idea or advice ...

Thanks a lot.

Hi,
have you tried an ide-disk?

I had similar problems with an old open server 5.0.5 system. So much so that I have left that vm running on vmware as I don't trust its stability on kvm yet. I was able to boot by using a vmdk image and disabling kvm in the proxmox options tab. But, it was never assured that it would boot to the correct disk everytime. The only sure way is to hit f12 in the console and mannually choose the correct disk which doesn't work very well for automated backups etc. Hope that helps.

No more happy end with IDE installation

At boot I precise the btld to link, but the error is the same
